"They wait for you Champion" centers aroung a person who has arrived at the gates of their afterlife. It is clear that the person is a warrior or knight of some sort but there is much more to this piece than can readily be seen. I was inspired by many ideas and cultures for this piece and I incorporated many different details in it. For instance the white gates are of Roman and Greek influence. The engraving and story upon the doors was inspired by Egyptian art and reliefs and the writing is Norse Runic script. I tried to incorporate many different cultural and ancient ideas and bring them together in a way that displays how each can work with the other to create something that is unique and can be of its own aesthetic.

What is dry mounting? Dry mounting is a process of adhering the art print to a foam core or other stable backing. This prevents wrinkles and creases and prolongs the life of the artwork. It helps protect the art from the ravages of humidity and temperature changes, which may warp the art if not secured.
